Pregnant women can eat fish, say Ulster University experts
Concerns that eating fish while pregnant could potentially harm unborn babies by unnecessarily exposing them to mercury could be unfounded, experts in Northern Ireland have claimed. For years, women have been told to avoid eating certain fish during pregnancy because of concerns over mercury. Almost all fish and shellfish have traces of mercury.
